Basic Drawing

In this course students will learn the fundamentals of drawing from life. Students will start with drawing still lifes and gradually work towards a trip to the MET to draw Greek statues, and then finally life drawing with a live model.
Students will learn techniques in pencil, marker, charcoal, and ink wash and will be required to keep a sketchbook of studies. Emphasis will be on students learning basic techniques and then applying those techniques to making finished portfolio quality drawings.
